James Hughes, CP LP

Jim Hughes has been working in the prosthetic and orthotic industry since 1978. He completed his formal training in prosthetics at Shelby State Community College in Memphis, TN and achieved certification in prosthetics from the American Board for Certification in orthotics and prosthetics. Prior to opening Atlanta Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc., Jim was the Clinical Director of Atlanta Prosthetics/Novacare in Tucker, Georgia. Jim spent over 8 years as the Director of Orthotics and Prosthetics at Scottish Rite Children's Medical Center in Atlanta. He is a prosthetic examiner for the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics. He is a past President of the Georgia Society of Orthotists and Prosthetists.

Marc Kaufman, CPO LPO

Marc Kaufman has been working in the prosthetic and orthotic industry since 1989. His grandfather was an above knee amputee which sparked his interest in the field. Marc attended University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and graduated in 1994 with a degree in prosthetics and orthotics. Marc continued his education at Southern Illinois University for his orthotic residency. Marc was certified in orthotics in 1995. Following this he directed the orthotic program at Atlanta Prosthetics/Novacare in Tucker, Georgia. During this time he completed his prosthetics residency. Marc received his prosthetic certification in 1998. Marc has extensive pediatric experience that he gained at Scottish Rite Children's Medical Center from 1995-1997. Marc has been involved with the Georgia Society of Orthotists and Prosthetists for several years. He has been on the Board of Directors and served as President from 2003-2005. Marc has recently accepted a position on the board of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. Marc has lectured across the country on various orthotic and prosthetic topics and is AP&O's residency director. Marc's interests range from pediatrics to geriatrics and all areas of orthotics and prosthetics. Marc is partner in AP&O and his wife and 2 boys live in Marietta, GA.

Will Holbrook, CP LP

Will Holbrook joined our staff in December of 1999 and has 11 years experience in the prosthetic field. He received his bachelor of science degree from Berry College in Rome, Georgia with a major in biology and minor in Chemistry. He received his graduate degree in prosthetics at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. Will received his certification in June of 2000 from the American Board for Certification in orthotics and prosthetics. He has presented papers on patient case studies and new developments in prosthetic componentry.

Martin Kacen, CPO LPO

Marty Kacen CPO, has spent the last twelve
years as a Director and Orthotist/Prosthetist for Prosthetic Orthotic Clinical Center of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. His experience includes being an Orthotics Instructor for Northwestern University Prosthetic Orthotic Center from 1990-1994. He is ABC Certified in Orthotics and Prosthetics and a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. He has also served as President of Midwest Chapter of the Academy. His family, wife Myrna and children Tracy, Sean and Abby look forward to a new warmer life in the sunny State of Georgia.

 

Tiffany Forest - Orthotic Resident

Tiffany grew up in the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex and went to undergrad at Trinity University (San Antonio) where she got a degree in Engineering Science.  She recently graduated from the Georgia Tech MSPO program where her research project involved fitting a bilateral front limb amputee dog with a mobility device. She is currently the orthotic resident at AP&O working towards completing the necessary requirements to become an ABC Certified Orthotist.
