Eric Chen, CO LO - Prosthetic Resident
Eric was born in Orlando, FL but grew up in Jacksonville, FL. His first exposure to the O&P field came while finishing his undergraduate degree in Gainesville, FL, where he shadowed a local Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) for one year. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors degree in Engineering Science and a minor in Biomechanics. He then moved up to Atlanta, GA where he graduated in the Class of 2006 (the third graduating class) from Georgia Institute of Technology’s Masters Program in Prosthetics & Orthotics. He enjoys working with people of all ages, and hopes to become dual-certified/licensed in Prosthetics & Orthotics. Additionally, photography is one of his favorite hobbies, and he has photographed special events, such as the 2006 Extremity Games, 2006 US Paralympics, and various events through Blaze Sports of Georgia.

Hughes, CP LP
Jim Hughes has been working in the prosthetic and orthotic industry
since 1978. He completed his formal training in prosthetics at Shelby
State Community College in Memphis, TN and achieved certification
in prosthetics from the American Board for Certification in orthotics
and prosthetics. Prior to opening Atlanta Prosthetics & Orthotics,
Inc., Jim was the Clinical Director of Atlanta Prosthetics/Novacare
in Tucker, Georgia. Jim spent over 8 years as the Director of Orthotics
and Prosthetics at Scottish Rite Children's Medical Center in Atlanta.
He is a prosthetic examiner for the American Board for Certification
in Orthotics and Prosthetics. He is a past President of the Georgia
Society of Orthotists and Prosthetists.
